Joseph Delperdang is a native of Remsen, Iowa and joined the firm in 1996. In 2003 he became a partner in the firm. Joe is involved with managing and conducting audits, reviews, compilations and income tax engagements. He also provides computerized accounting systems, professional accounting and tax services, business valuations and projections. He is responsible for the implementation of new accounting pronouncements.

Joe is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Upon graduation, Joe worked for a national accounting firm in Des Moines, Iowa for eleven years. He was responsible for general accounting, business consultation and was in charge of their health care client service team. He continues to make numerous presentations to various business associations and firm seminars. Since joining Sterling, Delperdang & Co., P.C. he has become an integral part of the firm's service team.

Joe is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants. He was a member of the Institute of Management Accountants and passed their Certified Managerial Accountant examination. In addition, Joe is a past associate of the Iowa Medical Group Managers Association.

Joe is currently a board member and president of Siouxland Cares About Substance Abuse, a board member of the Siouxland Community Foundation and a board member on a local neighborhood association. He is a graduate of the 1998-1999 Leadership Siouxland class. He has been involved in community organizations as a member of the board of directors and officer of Bernie Lorenz Recovery, Inc., and as a volunteer with the Greater Des Moines Chamber of Commerce and Greater Des Moines United Way. He also was recognized as one of the Sioux City Journal's first annual class of 40 up-and-coming Community leader who are under the age of 40.
